For more than 20 years, the Save the Rhino Trust (SRT) has worked to protect the last free-ranging rhino population on Earth: the endangered desert-adapted black rhino. In the remote, rugged Palmwag Concession, local trackers use camel trains to help research and monitor this animal. On this original Exploration, guests join these "ships of the desert" on an eight-day walk across the oldest desert in the world, where a camel train and a team of SRT trackers penetrate deep into the heart of the Namib Desert in search of this rare species, as well as the unique desert-adapted elephant and other spectacular desert life. The revenues generated by this venture are channelled into this vital rhino conservation project. |

ZIMBABWE IS BACK!
Tracks Safaris have travelled extensively in Zimbabwe from the capital city Harare to the old colonial town of Bulawayo and over to the fabulous Motopos National Park.
We have stayed at lodges and camps in Hwange - home to some of the largest herds of elephant in southern Africa, enjoyed the wildlife and lake at Kariba and Matusadonia and revelled in the glorious views over the Zambezi River at Mana Pools. Zimbabwe is home to some of the very best wildlife and guides in Africa.
