CHEETAH VOLUNTEERING IN NAMIBIA - BIG CAT CONSERVATION & REHABILITATION PROGRAMME
This is a fantastic, once in a lifetime opportunity to get to work alongside cheetahs and other wildlife AND undertake essential reserve maintenance for the project.
Staying in simple accommodation, you will be joining a group of international volunteers based at this big cat conservation and rehabilitation programme north of Windhoek.
Your day will be split in two - in the mornings you will be undertaking essential reserve maintenance tasks and working at the Foundation and in the afternoon you will have the opportunity to do game drives. This will involve the tracking and monitoring of cheetahs and leopards using a telemetry system and afternoon game drives to conduct essential research and experiencing, first hand, the workings of a wildlife rehabilitation centre.
Your task may be challenging at times but it will also be highly rewarding and satisfying to know that you’ve been part of the team helping to restore the local ecology back to its natural and original state.
