A sundowner is the enjoyment of an alcoholic drink whilst watching the sun go down and is a celebrated African activity and one that is very much looked forward to every evening when on safari in Africa!
Your guide will find the most amazing spot for your sundowner – it could be on a natural kopje overlooking the Kenyan plains, it could be in a remote and very wild location in the Okavango Delta with just elephants for company, or it could be watching the sun go down over the Zambezi River. Some of our favourite sundowners have been along the East African coast – Kenya, Zanzibar, Mafia Island or further down in Mozambique, watching the sun slip down into the sea. But where ever it is – it is always accompanied by your favourite tipple and bitings – delicious snacks and nibbles!
Across Africa, every evening in the wild game reserves and national parks, from Busanga Plains in Zambia to the Serengeti in Tanzania all the way down to the red dunes at Sossusvlei – guests are enjoying drinks and nibbles in the most amazing sunset locations!
