No Single Supplement Safaris – Solo Safaris

Travelling Solo and the No Single Supplement on Safari in Africa!

A safari holiday is very much suited to the single or solo traveller and if you book with Tracks Safaris you will be looked after wonderfully from start to finish!  I travel to Africa round 4 or 5 times a year for around 2 weeks at a time and mostly travel as a single guest – so have vast experience of the different options to offer you to make your holiday absolutely brilliant!

On arrival into your destination country you will be met and from that moment on you can relax – you will be in safe hands.  All your meet and greets, road transfers and light aircraft flights are included and at each stage you will be assisted – leaving you to fully enjoy your safari experience.

Accommodation on safari is immensely varied and there are different options taking your budget and comfort requirements into consideration.  You can opt for a small, intimate comfortable tented camp with full ensuite facilities in your tent, a proper bed and meals enjoyed around a family style table.  Think cosy drinks around the fire and dinner with other guests staying in camp.

Alternatively if you prefer to enjoy safaris with other guests but would prefer to eat by yourself, we can hand pick lodges and camps where you are more independent.

Your safari activities are normally shared with other guests staying at your camp – a huge ice breaker for a single traveller allowing you to get to know other guests naturally.  A safari is a very sociable experience and really good fun, and one of the advantages of travelling alone is that you do meet and talk to lots of people in camp – your guide, the camp staff as well as other guests.

At Tracks Safaris we can either tailor make you a safari to suit you and your interests, or you can join a small group safari which we will source for you using the information you offer us using our experience and knowledge of the different options available – this could be based on your interests, your budget, your time allowance and the comfort of accommodation you require.

We also run set departure Ladies Only Safaris every year which are small group safaris led by a qualified and very experienced guide allowing you to travel in the comfort and safely of a small group of other females with similar interests.  These can be found by following this link: Ladies Only Safaris

The single supplement you might pay will depend on the time of year you are travelling – you are more likely not to have to pay a single supplement if you travel during mid or shoulder seasons or green season (rainy season).  However, a number of camps and lodges offer a ‘no single supplement’ all the year round or we can ask for a no single supplement for you – on a varied itinerary there may be some camps who will agree.

If you are thinking about a solo safari the first step is to contact us – we will be happy to talk you through your options and recommend lodges and camps to suit you.  Talk to someone who has lots of experience of travelling solo in Africa – and ask as many questions as you would like!

See below some of our favourite camps across Africa which do not charge a single supplement at certain times of the year and please note that the dates are correct on the day of publication and some offers have terms and conditions.  Offers do vary and change, and we will be happy to assist you with your safari and look for any current offers for you.

You can follow the link straight through for more information on each camp!
