Okavango – permanent papyrus swamps, channels, lagoons, sandbanks, seasonally inundated floodplains (best experienced at Xigera, Jacana and Little Vumbura all year round, and a host of other camps during the annual flood, most especially in the Jao concession).

Mopane – closed tall mopane woodland, mopane scrub, Kalahari apple-leaf mopane transition (best experienced in the Linyanti Concession at Kings Pool, DumaTau and Savuti, but also present south of Selinda and Zibalianja and north of Vumbura Plains and Little Vumbura)

Acacia – various species of acacia from A erioloba to A hebeclada in dense associations or in grassland mosaic (best experienced at Chitabe and Mombo)

Riverine – tall developed riparian woodland with Jackal-berry, Fig and Mangosteen trees most often along major river courses but also on floodplain islands (most prominent at DumaTau and Kings Pool, but also present in the Jao concession and in floodplain islands in all concessions).

Palmveld – this occurs on the fringe of woodland either in the form of scrub palms or in the form of mature palms dotted across the landscape (most abundant in the Jao concession and at Xigera).

Kalahari – various acacia species as well as terminalia, but in general a vast open landscape dominated by grass and low shrubs and interspersed with grassy fossil river valleys (best experienced in the Central Kalahari).
