Walking Safaris

There is nothing like setting off on your walking safari from your camp with your guide and seeing all the little things which you might miss when on a game drive. After only a short while you will be able to decipher the different tracks and droppings of the wildlife around you. You will see where the leopard pulled its kill up a tree and see the myriad of insects busily going around their daily lives on the bush floor. Your guide will explain the traditional medicinal uses of many of the plants and bushes in the area. Walk, breathe in the scents of the bush and use your senses to experience more. Then stop for a cup of tea and homemade cake in the bush!

We have lots of options for you to choose from. Enjoy a fully serviced camel trek in northern Kenya, walk the South Luangwa Valley on a mobile walking, stride across the Okavango Delta encountering wildlife along the way or camp out in the wilds in southern Tanzania. If you would prefer to stay at a comfortable lodge or camp, we can recommend the best options with walking built in as a daily activity alongside 4 x 4 safaris and other activities. Walking safaris can be a couple of hours, half a day or a full day depending on where you are staying and what you are comfortable with. You will always be in good hands with a specialist and experienced walking guide who has been extensively trained to conduct walking safaris.

Get out – stretch your legs and enjoy the adventure!
