There is nothing like setting off on your walking safari from your camp with your guide and seeing all the little things which you might miss when on a game drive. After only a short while you will be able to decipher the different tracks and droppings of the wildlife around you. You will see where the leopard pulled its kill up a tree and see the myriad of insects busily going around their daily lives on the bush floor. Often your guide will explain the traditional medicinal uses of many of the plants and bushes in the area. Walk, breathe in the scents of the bush and use your senses to experience more.
Get out - stretch your legs, enjoy the adventure! Many lodges and camps across Africa offer short walking safaris lasting just a couple of hours. For the adventurous we also offer dedicated walking safaris and mobile camping getting you closer to Africa!

Climb Mount Kenya!
Two superb itineraries - climb Mount Kenya in 5 or 6 days depending on how much time you have!
Mount Kenya is a 'twin-peaked' volcanic spike. Reaching the highest of the three peaks on Mount Kenya requires technical expertise, but the third highest peak of Point Lenana offers the finest 5 or 6 day trek on the continent.
Our hike will take our trekkers through dense rain forest, which encircle the lower slopes of the mountain, which is home to Elephant, Cape buffalo, Leopard and primates. We then traverse the vast moorlands, past undulating grassy valleys and deep rocky gorges, through some of the most fabulous vegetation on our planet.
We arrive at the summit of Lenana early enough to be rewarded by views of the new day dawning across East Africa. The whole experience is only heightened by the fact that there will be few other trekkers we must share the mountain with.
We recommend at least one night before and after the climb be spent at Ol Pejeta Bush Camp.
Okavango Delta - Ker & Downey - Botswana
Ker & Downey offer a 3 day safari by mokoro in the Okavango Delta's southwest region and their 'footsteps Across Africa' programme - a dedicated private camp for 6 persons with the emphasis on guided walks in the Delta. The following links will take you through to more information on each:
We have all the routes available and can organise your whole trip including safari and coast/Zanzibar.
