A photographic safari is a wonderful opportunity to hone your photographic skills and learn new techniques whilst enjoying the thrill an African wildlife safari - a win win scenario for many of our guests!
Most of our safaris can be classed as 'photographic' and most of our guests do take photographs and download them onto their laptops whilst on safari. Many of the lodges offer download facilities and many of our guides are keen photographers themselves and have extensive experience of taking photographs of the local area and wildlife. A number of camps across Africa offer photographic hides which really get you closer to the wildlife - often placed strategically at waterholes, on pans or near bird breeding and nesting areas.
A photographic safari is taking your photography to a new level. Often led by expert and very accomplished wildlife photographers these safaris really are different to a conventional safari. Time is spent out in the field and back at camp experimenting and learning with other like minded guests and putting phtographic theories into practice.
Our guests often enjoy a photographic safari first and then extend the safari to put what they have learnt into practice
We offer an extensive number of safaris led by professional wildlife photographers departing in 2016 and 2017 across Africa. Many are not listed as they are one off safaris or late departures so if you are planning a photographic safari do give us a ring first.
Below you will find a small selection of small group safaris - we also offer private photographic safaris for individuals, couples and groups.
