LOCATION
Rhino River Camp is situated just outside the Meru National Park, Northern Kenya. Access is via a light aircraft flight landing inside the park with a 40-minute transfer to the camp.
CAMP
The uniquely designed canvas tents of the camp are built on wooden decks suspended among the trees of the pristine forest edging the seasonal Kindani river. The rooms are large and set on decks at different levels blending with the tree canopy. The Camp also has 2 Forest tents that are located inside the lush forest away from the sounds of the seasonal river Kindani’s running waters.
The family Suite has a master bedroom, a sitting room that doubles up as a second bedroom for children, two bathrooms and a good-sized balcony. It is set along the river and surrounded by huge raffia palms. The second family Suite has 2 adjacent tents with a joined veranda and the second tent is smaller than the main tent and can accommodate up to 3 children.
The main area is under canvas and has an open-plan dining area and lounge with comfy sofas and a bar. There is a wonderful swimming pool set amongst the greenery of the forest and set right by the river.
Meals at camp are tailored to gourmet delicacies with an Italian accent. You can choose to eat on the terrace of your room, by the pool or in the bush at any time!
