One cottage is designed especially for families, with a second bedroom and child-friendly facilities. With capacity for only around twenty guests, the lodge retains a warm and personal atmosphere.
The Experience
Guests at Katara Lodge are perfectly placed to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park. Activities include classic game drives across the savannah plains, where elephant, buffalo, lion and antelope are regularly seen, as well as the chance to spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Boat cruises on the Kazinga Channel reveal hippos, crocodiles and prolific birdlife, while chimpanzee tracking in nearby Kyambura Gorge adds another layer of adventure. Back at the lodge, guests can relax in the infinity swimming pool, dine on freshly prepared meals showcasing local produce, or simply enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the park.
