Chinzombo is a new, luxurious lodge which brings new levels of comfort, style and elegance to the Luangwa Valley.
Set on the site of the old Chinzombo Camp – which was for years the green season base for Norman Carr way back in the 1970’s - the new camp retains its bush feel with grass and canvas walls and spacious living areas which melt into the surroundings of the beautiful, tranquil site.
The camp is set within 60 acres of private land with Luangwa River frontage. The views from its riverside location, which teems with wildlife, plus the private and direct access into one of the most game rich areas of the National Park all combine to make this a special place to stay.
Chinzombo Camp is the perfect place from which to explore the wilds of the Luangwa in style, luxury and exclusivity – all year round.
The guiding is superb and Chinzombo will have Norman Carr’s Safaris’ senior guides to ensure guests have an outstanding wildlife experience.
Six spacious villas are nestled within the shade of ancient trees on a wildlife-rich ridge which follows a C-shaped bend in the Luangwa River.
Each villa is equipped with wifi and there is a yoga and exercise area and spa facilities for your complete relaxation.
There is a family villa suitable for either families or groups of friends travelling together.
Spacious living areas comprise large, cooled bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms and private plunge pools on shady decks overlooking the Luangwa.
Décor is simple and minimal, using raw linen, timber, copper and hand-made crockery.
