SINDABEZI ISLAND LODGE - LIVINGSTONE
Sindabezi Island is an idyllic and exclusive camp set on a private isle on the Zambezi River and is the only luxury bush camp on the Zambian side of the Falls where Victoria Falls can comfortably be explored.
Sindabezi has just five open-sided thatched cottages where you can soak up the sights and sounds of the African bush in a perfect, pristine setting. All the cottages have river views which extend across the flood plains of the Zambezi and into the nearby National Park.
Named after the River Shinde where it meets the Zambezi River right near the location of the island - the lodge is one of the most environmentally friendly islands in the river with zero grid dependence
Experience the large number of activities on offer in the area during the day and return to a tranquil and romantic island haven set on the Zambezi River in the evening.
Sindabezi Island Lodge is located on a private island on the Zambezi River just outside Livingstone in Zambia.
Your stay at Sindabezi Island begins with either a short boat ride or a guided canoe trip down the Zambezi River to the island. Along the way there are opportunities for game viewing as you pass close to the shores where animals wander to drink at the river’s edge. The main camp area is set on the sand and is the perfect place to relax and take in the peace and tranquillity of this tiny island.
Tucked away on the banks of the island all four chalet's have solar heated showers and distinctive ‘loos with a view’ set along private wooden walkways. Although perfectly secluded, the island is also ideal for families or groups who would like to consider a private booking.
Chalet Five is the ‘Honeymoon’ chalet and is situated on a secluded sandy shore at the end of the island. The brand new, old fashioned clawfoot bath is perfect for two. Thanks to the solar panelling, hot water and ambient bedside lighting is assured, The entire Sindabezi Island is also romantically lit with traditional hurricane lamps and candles and the rooms are lit with hurricane lamps, candles and starlight at night.
