THE RIVER CLUB - LIVINGSTONE
The River Club is a luxurious and historical lodge with eleven spacious and private suites individually set within the tree line along the edge of the Zambezi River just outside Livingstone.
From their elevated positions the suites are perfectly situated to gaze across the river to the Zambezi National Park on the opposite ban, which is home to an array of wildlife and birds in an area of natural beauty. The rooms have spectacular views and a very romantic ambience and look west into the glorious African sunset - best viewed from the privacy of the ball-and-claw bath.
A host of activities await both on property as well as in the nearby area. Located only a short distance from the historical town of Livingstone and renowned Victoria Falls, The River Club is the perfect retreat for families, honeymooners or those looking to complete a safari circuit in Southern or East Africa.

The lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River just outside Livingstone in Zambia.
River Suites – there are seven suites which are situated on the banks of the Zambezi River and offer stunning views of the Zambezi River and complete privacy.
Open plan and tastefully decorated with furniture and fittings made from beautiful Zambezi teak wood they have been designed for comfort and complete relaxation.
Each suite is on a split level and features include a sitting area with windows that can be opened to admire the spectacular views, two bathrooms and large mosquito nets swathing the bed. The upstairs bathroom has a shower, vanity and lavatory while the downstairs bathroom has a bath overlooking the river, separate shower, vanity and lavatory.
Luxury River Suites – the two suites are spacious with open plan interiors and are a beautiful space in which to relax and unwind after a day spent exploring Victoria Falls, playing lawn games, visiting the nearby attractions or enjoying a game drive.
The suites are tastefully decorated with furniture and fittings made from beautiful Zambezi teak wood and large mosquito nets which swathe the double bed and doors which open to a private outside deck, plunge pool and small secluded garden with views of the Zambezi River. The spacious interiors feature a living room and full bathroom amenities. One suite has room to accommodate two children's beds on the mezzanine floor and a second bathroom.
The Luxury River Family Suite is spacious and open plan with two partially private ensuite bedrooms. An additional bed can be requested in the downstairs room to accommodate 3 children.
Glass doors open to a private outside deck and plunge pool with unimpeded views of the Zambezi River beyond. The suite is tastefully decorated with furniture and fittings made from beautiful Zambezi teak wood and large mosquito nets swathe the beds. The main bathroom has a double vanity, bath, separate shower and lavatory. The second bathroom downstairs has a single vanity, bath, separate shower and lavatory.
All the suites enjoy air-conditioning, safe, hairdryer, mini bar fridge with bottled water and soft drinks, fan and mosquito nets.
The lodge's main area is a well-appointed Edwardian house with lounge, dining room, library, shop and veranda on which breakfasts and teas are taken. Midday meals are often served on manicured lawns, complete with a croquet court.
The gazebo and the Summer House (with snooker room) are both alternatives for private dining and the infinity pool seems part of the river itself. A secluded deck provides respite and beauty treatments are available in the Wellness Centre. For the energetic, the gymnasium, running trails and all-weather tennis court are perfect.
ACTIVITIES AND WILDLIFE
There are many activities available both at the lodge and outside - including tours of Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, sundowner cruises, tiger fishing, and visiting a nearby village, white water rafting, bungee jumping, abseiling, canoeing, and flights over the Falls. The area is steeped in local history and rich in wildlife; hippo and elephant are seen regularly, and birdlife is prolific.
