KHAYELITSHE HOUSE - MOTOBO HILLS NATIONAL PARK

Khayelitshe House is situated in the heart of the Matobo Hills just outside the boundary of the national park.  The house is stunningly located and enclosed by balancing rocks and surrounded by a natural amphitheatre of massive boulders, and is named after the Ndebele words Ekhaya and Litshe - Home in the Rocks.

Khayelitshe’s charm comes from its simplicity and organic blueprint and the house draws inspiration from African Bush Camp’s Beks Ndlovu’s travels throughout Africa.  The house used to be his weekend retreat and is completely off-the-grid inspiring peacefulness and being at one with nature.

The environmentally friendly design blends in perfectly with the ancient landscape that surrounds the property.  The house is fully serviced and has just 4 ensuite bedrooms with incredible views and the private land around the house covers over 1200 acres of wilderness.

Explore the area with guided walks and game drives with a knowledgeable private guide who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you. Matobo Hills has one of the last populations of wild white rhinos in the world and you will be able to get quite close to these magnificent animals.
