KWANDO POM POM CAMP – POM POM ISLAND – OKAVANGO DELTA
Pom Pom Camp is an eco-friendly camp located on Pom Pom Island in the private Matsebe concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta and on the head waters of the Xudum river system. The area lies on the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve and not only offers superb Okavango scenery but also superb game viewing all year round.
The camp overlooks a scenic lagoon and is quietly nestled under grove shady trees. You can hear hippo grunt front of camp’s permanent lagoon that is surrounded by miles of reeds. In a clear water oasis mokoro safaris offer you a wonderful experience of viewing wildlife as you glide between palm fringed islands.
LOCATION
The camp is located in the private Matsebe Concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana.
CAMP
Pom Pom Camp consists of nine luxury safari tents in true traditional safari style, furnished with en-suite, semi-open bathrooms. The tents are uniquely positioned under the shade of the surrounding trees that overlook the Pom Pom lagoon. The family safari tent which is close to the main lodge accommodates two adults and two children with ensuite facilities.
In the main thatched building you will find a bar, lounge and dining area and the camp has a swimming pool.
ACTIVITIES AND WILDLIFE
Morning and evening game drives – with qualified guides are an opportunity to view the ‘big game’ and night life.
Mokoro trip – a fantastic way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Okavango’s waterways and wildlife.
Seasonal boating and fishing – guides will be happy to take you to their secret spots to try for African pike and a variety of bream species.
Mokoros, boat cruises and fishing are water level dependent.

THE CAMP WELCOMES CHILDREN AGED 6+ AND THE CAMP HAS A FAMILY TENT. FAMILIES WITH CHIDREN AGED 6 – 11 WILL HAVE TO BOOK A PRIVATE VEHICLE IN ADVANCE
