ELEWANA TARANGIRE TREETOPS – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Elewana Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a community wildlife area bordering Tarangire National Park amid a landscape of rolling and baobab-studded hills on the path of an elephant migration route. The elevated treehouse suites are perched high up with views over the adjacent baobab and marula trees.

THE CAMP
Twenty lavishly furnished suites have a private balcony, comfortable beds, and are crafted from natural materials which are blended with contemporary Africana décor. Each treehouse boasts one of the largest bedrooms to be found in any camp or lodge in East Africa – and all have an exotic double shower ensuite bathroom. With furnishings that create warmth and demonstrate a commitment to local craftsmanship, the treehouse experience is completed by the open-fronted room design with stunning views across the Tarangire plains. All the rooms have a unique view – some sunrise and some sunset and some with a view over the waterhole and animal trail in front of the lodge.
The main area is built around a baobab tree and the spacious dining room, reception and lounge overlook the swimming pool and a waterhole that sees a steady flow of wildlife.
With the natural beauty of the hills and dry river beds you can enjoy guided walking safaris, day or night time game drives and bush dining in a wild but safe place.
ACTIVITIES
Tarangire National Park is divided by the Tarangire River which in the dry season becomes a life source for wildlife including thousands of elephant. The lush swamplands are home to one of the largest populations of breeding birds and 550 species of bird have been recorded within the park’s boundaries. The red earthed and white-grassed landscape of Tarangire is punctuated by magnificent baobab trees and termite mounds.
Game Drives – enjoy Tarangire National Park on a game drive with an expert guide. The camp is a 45 minute drive from the entrance of the national park however being located in a wildlife area adjacent to the park – your game drive begins as soon as you are in the vehicle.
Sunset Hill Sundowners – sit back, drink in hand, atop Sunset Hill and soak in a spectacular African sunset. You will be spoilt with a selection of cocktails, drinks and snacks
Night Game Drives – the African bush comes alive at night with different creatures becoming active. Because the camp is located in Randilen wildlife management area outside of the national park you will be able to enjoy night game drives with the chance to see nocturnal wildlife such as civets, porcupines, genets, scrub hare and nightjars.
Guided Bush Walks – the slower pace and proximity to nature of a guided bush walk allows you to get closer to the bush. With the expertise of your guide you can view and learn about wildlife, insects and flora at a slower pace.
Maasai Boma Visit – visit a local Maasai boma and be welcomed to learn about the Maasai and their traditional culture.
Bush meals – enjoy a home-cooked meal served with extraordinary views over the Tarangire plains.
