Location
Laba Laba Ngorongoro Crater is located on the Ngorongoro crater rim, offering access to early morning game drives. The lodge can be reached by road from Arusha or by air via Manyara airstrip, followed by a scenic drive.
Accommodation
Steeped in history, the former Rhino Lodge has been preserved as a tribute to Henry Albert Fosbrooke (1905-1996), the region’s first ecologist who established the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its UNESCO World Heritage Site status. The symbolic dwelling is now the reception, bar-lounge and boutique of Laba Ngorongoro Lodge.
The lodge features a selection of 20 luxurious air conditioned suites, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the surrounding environment while delivering contemporary elegance. Expansive windows and private decks ensure uninterrupted views into the crater, while interiors are enriched with natural textures, local artistry, and plush furnishings. Each suite has a private lounge, dressing area and spacious en‑suite bathrooms with underfloor heating with a bathtub and shower.
