Laba Migration Camp – Serengeti National Park
Laba Migration Camp is luxury mobile camp that moves seasonally three times a year to follow the path of the Great Migration. Positioned in carefully selected sites across the Serengeti, the camp offers front‑row seats to one of the world’s most spectacular wildlife events – the migration. With just 10 tents the camp is small and personal, and a huge bonus is that all guests enjoy a private 4 x 4 vehicle and dedicated safari guide – perfect for those seeking a more private safari.
Accommodation
The camp features 10 spacious, beautifully designed tented suites that evoke the romance of classic safaris while delivering contemporary luxury. Each tent is elegantly furnished with comfortable beds, fine linens, and en‑suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Private verandas look out onto the endless Serengeti plains, allowing guests to feel truly immersed in the wilderness while enjoying exceptional levels of comfort and privacy. There are two, 2 bedroomed family tents with a sitting area in-between.
Dining
Despite its mobile nature, dining at Laba Migration Camp is a refined and memorable affair. Chefs craft delicious meals using fresh, locally sourced organic ingredients, blending international flavours with Tanzanian inspiration. Guests can enjoy elegant dinners under canvas or dine al fresco beneath a star‑filled African sky. Bush breakfasts and sundowners add to the magic, ensuring that each meal is part of the overall safari adventure.
Experiences
The defining feature of Laba Migration Camp is its proximity to the Great Migration. Depending on the season, guests may witness vast herds crossing rivers, calving on the southern plains, or moving in endless columns across the savannah. Expertly guided game drives bring guests close to predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, while walking safaris and sundowner excursions offer alternative perspectives of the Serengeti. The camp’s mobility ensures that travellers are always optimally placed for extraordinary wildlife encounters.
Giving Back & Sustainability
Sustainability lies at the heart of Laba Migration Camp. Its mobile design minimises environmental impact, with the camp leaving no trace as it moves across the Serengeti. Renewable energy solutions reduce reliance on fossil fuels, while local sourcing supports surrounding communities. The camp also provides employment opportunities and skills training for Tanzanians, ensuring that its presence benefits both conservation and local livelihoods.
