The 20 luxurious suites at Lemala Osonjoi are some of the most spacious and airy in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. They accommodate one king-size bed and, as it can get cool on the Ngorongoro Crater rim at night, little luxuries like a slow burning wood stove, warm winter-weight duvets, and hot water bottles ensure a cozy night’s sleep. The roomy en-suite bathrooms contain a dressing area, flush toilet and a large walk in shower. The design blends comfort with a strong sense of place, ensuring guests feel both at home and part of the wilderness. A separate spa suite among the trees offers guests a secluded location, treated by expert therapists who are dedicated to enhancing well-being and helping you to unwind amongst the views of forest.
Activities & Wildlife Viewing
Game drives at Lemala Osonjoi Lodge are led by expert guides who share their deep knowledge of the crater ecosystem. As Africa’s game is most active in the early morning and late afternoon this means better wildlife experiences for Lemala guests. Game drives from camp may start as early as 6.00am and you can be down among Ngorongoro’s wildlife on the floor within 10-15 minutes – crucial for photographers who demand the best light conditions. Escorted walks are also available into the forest and along the crater rim with an armed ranger and Maasai guide, and birdwatching opportunities are outstanding year-round.
