This intimate eco-lodge offers a warm welcome, spectacular forest views and the chance to encounter one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife experiences.
Buhoma Lodge offers sweeping views of the canopy and direct access to one of the most biodiverse rainforests on earth. Bwindi is home to half the world’s population of mountain gorillas, as well as over 350 bird species, primates and countless forest inhabitants.
Location
Buhoma Lodge is located within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Buhoma, south west Uganda.

Accommodation
The lodge features ten comfortable chalets, all built from sustainable local materials and carefully designed to blend with the forest surroundings. Each chalet has a private veranda overlooking the dense rainforest, along with en-suite bathrooms and flushing toilets. Some chalets offer bathtubs with views across the canopy, making them ideal for relaxation after a day of trekking.
Constructed using sustainable materials, the elevated central lounge, bar and dining area (serving delicious multi-course meals) offers a cosy spot for guests to unwind, and offers amazing uninterrupted views over the forest. The crackling fireplace adds a mystical atmosphere to cooler evenings.
With Buhoma set just steps away from the trek start point, gorillas have been spotted popping in for an occasional visit, while our resident L’Hoest’s monkey troup visit the gardens in front of the lodge almost daily.
