DESERT WHISPER LODGE – SOSSUSVLEI
Desert Whisper is a sleek and very unique place to stay – it is a luxurious one room retreat which has been designed for just two people and would be the most amazing choice for a honeymoon or special occasion where you just want to be by yourselves!
The spacious single storey suite is creatively constructed on a kopje of rocks and is beautifully and luxuriously furnished with stunning views out over the desert and a plunge pool set in a wooden deck along a wooden pathway just below the room.
Activities include – if you can tear yourself away from the peaceful solitude of the desert and your own private pool – safaris and guided/self-guided walks. Other activities such as hot air ballooning and visits to Sossusvlei are available nearby.
LOCATION
Set within the Gondwana Namib Park, Desert Whisper is located around 60km north of Sesriem in Namibia’s Sossusvlie area.
Access is best by self-drive which takes around 3.5 hours from Windhoek.
LODGE
Inspired by nature and natural shapes, materials and colours – your contemporary desert home is one that you may never want to leave.
The pod is airconditioned and has one bedroom and an ensuite bathroom both with spectacular desert views. There is an open-plan lounge and dining area with a well-stocked bar and fully equipped kitchen. Outside there is a terrace – perfect for a glass of wine to watch the sun go down or steaming cup of coffee in the morning. The room is linked by a wooden walkway to a beautifully located plunge pool set amongst the rocks.
Enjoy the feeling of space in the desert, the golden expanse of the Namib extends to the horizon and is fringed by the softness of the Naukluft Mountains in the distance and the infinite blue sky above. And it is entirely yours for your stay!
You will enjoy your own personal reception and a dedicated host, and meals are pre-arranged to suit your dietary preferences. There is complementary WIFI.
ACTIVITIES
Activities on site include safaris, guided walks and self-guided walks. You can book cycling, game viewing, general sightseeing, hiking, hot-air ballooning nearby.
THE DESERT WHISPER IS OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND
THE LODGE WELCOMES COUPLES – ONLY TWO GUESTS CAN STAY AT ANY ONE TIME. CHILDREN FROM 14 YEARS OLD ARE ALLOWED TO STAY WITH ONE ADULT – AS LONG AS THE NUMBER OF GUESTS IS JUST TWO.
